Innovative Central Vacuum Solutions, with Jonathan Young | The Power Of Series
Most of the products that you see in daily life are using vacuum, and like compressed air, most businesses both world-wide and locally rely
on it throughout their day-to-day functions. Our customers want a reliable process that creates lasting results in a way that is
economically, environmentally, and socially responsible.
At Ash Air, our Vacuum team bring forward a portfolio of extensive knowledge, coupled with a passion for new challenges that focus on
productivity, energy efficiency and safety. Here we talk to Jonathan, about all things Vacuum, as well as learning more about our focus on
sustainable productivity!
Tell us about yourself and what your role entails?
"I am a Business Development Manager for Vacuum and Industrial Air Technique. My main focus and drive is to further improve
sustainable productivity in a variety of industries. My role sees me working closely with the sales team to develop and pursue efficient
and reliable solutions for our customers in New Zealand!"
What is your strategy and vision for Vacuum solutions in New Zealand?
"At Industrial Vacuum our business is propelled by the drive to be known as application experts with a thorough knowledge of the
industries we serve. We aim to become the undisputed market leader with game changing central vacuum solutions aimed at end customers.
Whatever the application, we can provide a vacuum solution!"
A memorable experience within the Vacuum division at Ash Air...
"Helping a customer out of a tight spot is always rewarding for me! We recently assisted a customer who had experienced a breakdown on
their screw blower used for pneumatic conveying. The spares were costly and not available off the shelf, so we took it upon ourselves to
have the carbon seals manufactured and sourced the bearings from a local supplier. We were able to overhaul the pump and have them back up
and running within a few days. The interesting part was that we had never worked on this model of pump before but came together as a team
to ensure we get the job done right. This speaks volumes to the willingness of the team to learn and take action when needed."
Contributing to a better future! What piece of advice would you give to someone looking to pursue a career in Vacuum?
"We are committed to offering innovative solutions that help increase our customersโ productivity. One of the ways we do this is
through our team of sales engineers. We value our engineers as an important pillar in our โway to marketโ strategy. Nurturing these
relationships with support from our global network is mutually advantageous and provides a competitive advantage.
We provide strong sales, service support on our existing range of products, and periodically introduce new game-changing, intelligent, and
connected vacuum pumps. If youโd like to be a part of our global network of committed vacuum technology partners, weโd like to hear from
you!"
We have just announced offering of Atlas Copco range of Vacuum Pumps in New Zealand. For someone looking at vacuum options for their
operation, what makes this range so special?
"Our broad product portfolio and application expertise mean the right vacuum solution for your application, configured to your specific
needs and bringing you predictable performance you can rely on.
From food packaging, electronics, glass bottle and can production, paper printing, toothpaste degassing, automotive parts handling,
pharmaceuticals conveying, plastic extrusion, woodworking, brick and clay manufacture, to almost all general manufacturing, utility vacuum
is used across industries in multiple applications. As the leading innovator in the industrial vacuum market, we have continued focus on
